A question for the parents in attendance:
How many times do you say “no” in a day?
Broadly interpreted, I’d be willing to believe I come close to five hundred or so; more if it’s rainy out.

Maybe we can all try mixing it up a little and substituting the occasional ‘I’ll get back to you on that’. Then again, would the little tikes really get such subtleties?
When Nancy Reagan unveiled her ‘JUST SAY NO ‘ campaign back in 1986 she left out the part about some days we’d have to repeat the word 500 times.

My kids see right through all the “we’ll see”s, “maybe”s, and anything like it. Of course they do — didn’t we?
