A question for the parents in attendance:
How many times do you say “no” in a day?
Broadly interpreted, I’d be willing to believe I come close to five hundred or so; more if it’s rainy out.

Maybe we can all try mixing it up a little and substituting the occasional ‘I’ll get back to you on that’. Then again, would the little tikes really get such subtleties?

My kids see right through all the “we’ll see”s, “maybe”s, and anything like it. Of course they do — didn’t we?
